Announcement !

( read please ! I know it is long and maybe boring but it is informative. You can also directly read about only the blog you are interested in and learn about my plans about it )

I am posting this to give more clarifications about the blog future development.

How it all began 

I started a lot of online projects because I wanted to improve my graphic knowledge in many different areas. This led me to have too many project to deal with and I had to sacrifice some of them in favor of others.

I have multiply intersts that include cinema, music, photography, art , design , literature , travelling and others . I chose however to start up with a blog dedicated to Asian pop culture and above all Japanese and Korean music and movies/drama because I found their rising popularity interesting theme .

I was first drawn to explore contemporary Asian culture ( I had always had an interest for the East but more towards its history )  after watching  some Japanese anime as it had  happened to many others , I presume.  I found the distant, beautiful and particular world of Japan fascinating in way only a far off and never visited place could be.

My “journey into Asia “  started by watching movies and expanded into reading about the culture, trying to learn Japanese, checking the OSTs of the movies I have seen and later  I “discovered” also South Korea and its music and movies and so on  . I was a happy “victim” of The Korean Wave and I didn’t even know it .
Then day by day I started to realize that this thing is huge! It wasn’t just me ! Kpop fans were more and more everywhere! I have always new anime has a great fan base but never expected Korean music to be so popular … and it is even more popular now. I really found that interesting!

The first Blog 

That is how I started with Asia Entertainment ( it was my silly working title at first but it happened to remain that way until now )  . I made this blog because I wanted to force myself to practice drawing more. Since my theme was Asian pop culture,  I started with the idea of a KPOP calendar and  BIGBANG’s dress up games in my head . I also found the blog to be an opportunity for me to share my “discoveries “ about Asia with other people .

Those initial ideas, though, were soon joined and overrun by others that my restless brain kept inventing. Therefore I decided that if I single out those ideas it will be easier to manage them and I started splitting the blog into other blogs.

How it all ended up to be ... 

Asia Entertainment has split into 6 separate blogs in one year time!
 If you think me crazy you are probably right. I have too many ideas and too many interests and too little time …but I have decided that I am not going to abandon any of those projects for the time being but I will just try to re-organize them better and I am not planning to split them anymore .

Those blogs are : 

BIGBANG The Dress Up Game (link)  – will feature all BIGBANG Dress Up Games . This blog has suffered a lot because of the new ideas that were taking my time but I am determined to finish more of those dress up games soon and this is what might slow down the future issue of VIP Magazine .

Panda Games ( link ) – it is the continuation of BIGBANG Dress Up Games where I will post flash games on other subjects besides BIGBANG.
For the moment there is Bridal Mask Game in there that I made this summer while watching the drama .
 I also have a few ideas for other games  but I will announce them when I actually start working on them. I have also invented some games that you can print and play with friends! I cannot wait to find time to finish them !

 BIGBANG VIP Magazine ( link ) - I decided to cut out BIGBANG from Asia Entertainment and start a magazine about them basically because I wanted to learn InDesign ( but I keep using Photoshop for making it for the moment ) . BIGBANG are my favorite Korean group not only in terms of music but they are most fun for me to follow. I know them since 2010 but I felt “involved” in the fandom in 2011 because of the accident of Daesung . Before that I would very rarely get to comment or say anything instead I was just a “viewer”. In 2011  I felt very bad about all that situation so I  started some project for supporting Daesung and I got to know the fandom ( the VIPs) better. I like making VIP magazine especially because it is not only dedicated to BIGBANG but most of all to the VIP fandom. It is all about being a fan of something and for that reason I always like to share fan made things such as fanart or fan project.
I feel like in my attempts to make the magazine “look nice “  I have not put enough care in what I am writing . I want to explore more about the ways musicians, in this case BIGBANG,
are influencing their fans and I want the magazine to be more interesting in future . I will prefer to write less but more relevant things.  I will keep improving it in any case!
I will also keep posting reviews for songs or videos of BIGBANG – it is always my upmost pleasure to share my excitement with fellow music addicts!
( I have one particular idea for a future project as part of VIP Magazine but it is very time consuming so lets see when I will be able to start developing it ! I will update on it when there is progress)

I have also started BIGBANG WORLD TOUR Blog  ( link ) – because I was very exited about Alive tour – follow it for all kind of updates about BIGBANG live performances and tour info. After the tour is over I will probably convert the page into BIGBANG live events and update it with all kind of future about BIGBANG’s performances.

Explore Asia ( link )   - it is a blog about Asian culture but I hardly have any time for it  ! I have so many things I want to write about  in the blog  so I will try to find time to get back to it as soon as possible !

Another part of Asia Entertainment is its “karaoke “ youtube channel ! I love making videos so subscribe if you enjoy them. I am currently making lyric version of Korean songs so if there any song you want me to “lyric” for you comment on my channel!

With all those “spin off “-s  what it left of Asia Entertainment ? 
I will keep posting the karaoke videos there and also any kind of announcement and random Asia related things but above all  ,  it will become my Asian Movie-Drama review page.
I have stopped the making of “Kpop” Calendar for the moment but I might decide to restart next year – I will post it about it there as well. Keep an eye on this page – its time will come !

With all this said , I hope you got an idea of what to expect from me in the near future .

I will no longer put a specific date on when I am going to publish something but I will use instead the so called “process bars “ . You can check them to see how the work on a certain project is going and it can give you some idea of when to expect the publishing of any of my graphic projects!

Be patience with me! I do the things I have planned to do but it just sometimes takes me more time than expected.

I have a university to deal with and friends who I want to spent time with and other things to do besides being in front of the PC so I cannot always do things as fast as I want !

Gangnam Style !

Hello !

Sorry I totally disappeared but I had some things to do and so on ..... but I  am back now ! ^^ 

There is at least one million things I want to do but only one month vacation :S ... in any case , more updates will be coming soon . 

Now lets talk a little about PSY ! Cause he is so epic ! haha .

Of course I know him for a long time , since he became part of  the YG Family . (  For those , who know YG , you would understand why I am saying this - YG artist are just differen ^^ ) Maybe I will talk about YG another time . Now back to PSY ! 

I was totally shocked to see he is becoming so famous and I am so happy for it . At the same time , it makes me a little worried - you know that feeling when you have discovered something that is kind of "yours" because no one around you knows about it and then suddenly everyone knows about it and it is not anymore   "your thing" and ... it is almost as you have been robbed ! haha . It is ridiculous but it is true !  It is a paradox - you always say to your friends - check this out , it is great ! But no one pays attention ... When finally everyone is paying attention , you are like ... "ok , now , take it slow . Don't ruin my thing " .

Gangnam Style  might remain to be only a one hit wonder , but nevertheless , I am happy for PSY's success .

and ... there is one more thing . There are so many kpop artist - all of them beautiful and young and flawless .... so who would think it will be PSY to create the hit of the summer . But because it is him , I am so content ! Ok , it is the beautiful and flawless kpop artist that probably paved the way... BUT it is PSY being himself the main thing . 

Looking good and have super expensive videos are not the only thing that sells things and it is not the only thing that can  make people interested in something . People like originality  .... or maybe they just like cathy songs ! lol !
In any case , the popularity of Gangnam Style ,  proves that if something is cool/good/original/, the world can know about it , even without any media had ever tried to promote it . Youtube creates the trends and the media comes after just to comment on them .

The people who don't know anything about kpop or Korean music , or Korea in general , might find the song catchy or the video funny or riduculious or strange or whatever . It doesn't matter . The good thing is that youtube is a way to make people explosed to things that come outside of the shell they live in and this is a kind of provocation for all of them .

In any case ,  I like PSY for his ... how to say it ... his attitude . Why PSY is so awesome ? Well , he has more than swag ! He really has such energy a person would never expect to find in someone who looks so ... normal ( at first sight  , from a distance :P) . I presume that to be on his concert would be a great experience , cause he can make you dance and jump and forget about everything ! 

I checked his album I suggest you to do the same . For now I have "Blue Frog" ( the first song from the album ) stuck in my head - that is because I love what it means and it is really gives me positive energy . The fact that GD is part of the song is great , but this is not the reason I liked it ! 

So , today I decided to make a kind of "sing along" version of PSY's Gangnam Style and if I have time in the next days , I will do "Blue/Green Frog " lyrics video as well .

Some updates

Hello !!!

I am going to be very busy for the next two month so unfortunately I need to postpone most of the things I wanted to work on for this blog . I will still update the calendar and maybe have some occasionally post but in general I won't be very active until mid of July . After that I will dedicate more time to this blog , so don't forget me completely ^^ .

I want to share with you some impressions about movies and music stars , also I am making a game about kpop that you can print and play at home . All this and more will come in July !
